Scholarships for Asian American High School Seniors

Texas Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Asian Foundation will be awarding several $1,000 scholarships at the 2011 Lunar New Year Gala at the Bob Bullock Museum on Saturday evening, Feb. 5, 2011. 

Scholarships are open to graduating seniors who are of Asian or Pacific Islander descent and will be based on academic achievement and community involvement. The following qualifications, documents and information required: 

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of Asian or Pacific Islander descent and Texas resident at time of application;
  • Complete one page essay as described on application;
  • Provide most current “Official Transcript” reflecting a cumulative GPA of 3.0 an an un-weighted 4.0 scale, SAT and/or ACT scores, and class ranking, if available;

Selected awardees must be able to attend gala to be introduced as a winner;

Selected scholarship winners will be notified by phone on Thursday evening, Jan. 20, 2011. The actual scholarship award will be awarded upon graduation from high school.
